| About The Wall Bed Shop Fred and Terie Howard founded the The Bedding Factory in 1996. Prior to starting their new company, Fred spent five years developing and refining their bedding product lines. It was soon time to expand their market. They created their first web site for mattresses in July of that year and soon learned that there was also a strong interest in Murphy Style wall beds. A little research led them to Dale Burchett and his Create-A-Bed wall bed system. Dale had developed a system using the latest, state of the art, hydraulic lift technology and was looking for entrepreneurs to make and distribute wall bed systems around the nation. Fred and Terie joined Dale in his enterprise by adding wall beds to their already established quality bedding product line and have become leaders in the design, manufacture, and sale of quality wall bed systems. They now ship their products coast to coast as well as to Mexico and Canada. Wall Beds and Space Planning Fred, a former custom home builder, realized this was the perfect way to convert that spare bedroom into a home office, craft room, game room, and more, and not lose that space as a guest bedroom.
